Derek Ramage Photography is committed to protecting and safeguarding your personnel data. As part of this commitment, we’re updating our Privacy Policy to strengthen your privacy rights and to meet the high standards of the new European data protection law, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

I’m required by law to document what personal information I keep for all clients, whether it be a one off appointment or a regular client.

At the time of booking an appointment or photography task for any of my photography services, I will take your name, a contact telephone number, email address and a home or business address.

All future clients will have a photography client record created, which records all the information above plus information relating to your booking. These record cards are kept in a locked filing cabinet to which only I have access.

I keep this information for legal and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 7 years from initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you have had further bookings with me. You do have the right to see any information I keep and you can request that any data be changed or securely destroyed. If however you do request that records be destroyed I will no longer be able to carry out any photography unless you complete new information records.

I do not use the information for anything other reason than to contact you regarding your booking or to discuss matters relating to your photography session.

I will not pass your personal information to any third party.
I will not use your personal information for marketing purposes although I would like to publish photographs with no names etc although a consent form / model release form will need to be signed in advance.

Any information given to me via the message service on my Facebook Page, is only accessible by myself. You may request that once I have written your details on your record card that I delete any messages, which contains your personal information.

Any information you have given me via text message on my mobile phone is accessible only by myself and my phone is locked with a security code and fingerprint recognition. You may request that these text messages are deleted once I have written the information on your record card.

For children under the age of 16, I will need parental consent and be in attendance of any photography sessions and a signature of consent will be required for any published photographs.
